How do I get to the Wedding from London?
You can get a direct train from London Waterloo to Salisbury, which takes around an hour and half, followed by a 25 minute taxi to St Giles Church.
Given the reliability of South Western trains, we recommend staying in the surrounding area if you can - please see the Accommodation section for more detail.
How do I get to the Wedding from Wimborne?
As you approach from the Wimborne direction, you will pass the Horton Inn on your left. At this point, stay on the B3078 following signs to Cranborne. Do not take the first turning to Wimborne St. Giles; continue past the turning to Verwood B3081 - also marked ‘Heavy Horse Centre’.
Take the next turning towards Shaftesbury, B3081. You will
come to a T junction; turn left to Wimborne St. Giles. Continue past Glebe Farm on your right, also marker ‘EDC’, then take the first turning on your left marked ‘Park Lane’ (if you get to the church, you have gone too far).
Continue straight down Park Lane past the houses, once you have passed through a small gate, you will see a sign for the Walled Car Park immediately on the right.
Where can I park my car?
Please park in the Walled Car Park at St Giles House - this is the car park highlighted yellow in the map below. What Three Words: shifting.tomato.improvise
How do I get to St Giles House from the church?
St Giles House is approximately 5 minutes walk from the church, so it should be fairly easy to get to the reception.
Do I need to book a taxi?
Yes. Given St Giles House is fairly remote and the night wraps up at around 2 a.m., we highly recommend pre-booking a taxi in advance of the Wedding to take you back to your accommodation in the evening. We have set out a list of local taxi companies below:
